IFMA Foundation Announces Support of JLL for Global Workforce Initiative
HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA – (August 20, 2020) – The IFMA Foundation today announced a major development in its Global Workforce Initiative to fill a growing talent gap in facility management. JLL, a leading professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management, has pledged its support of the initiative.
“The IFMA Foundation is pleased to work with JLL for this critical effort to ensure the continued sustainability of the facility management (FM) profession,” said IFMA Foundation Chair Joe Archie. “Every day, more organizations are coming to the realization that there is a serious labor shortage on the horizon within the FM industry and that without decisive action this shortage will have serious ramifications on their future. We are proud to collaborate with JLL, a leader in FM solutions, on this critical initiative to attract and grow the talent of the future.”
The Global Workforce Initiative seeks to fill the growing FM workforce talent gap as more than half of today’s practitioners are expected to retire in the next five to 15 years. Working in partnership with impacted industries around the world, the IFMA Foundation is leading the charge to make FM a career of choice. By working with educators at all levels and increasing the number of accredited FM degrees and educational programs around the world, the Global Workforce Initiative is helping create a clear career pathway to an exciting and fulfilling career in FM.
